Cold storage in Spain-AE15 Intelligent Unmanned Forklift Robot Application Example

A cold store in Spain has successfully transitioned from traditional to intelligent by introducing the AiTEN AE1516 unmanned forklift robot and dispatch system.

Project Background

1. Limit blocks in the warehouse are not removable, posing challenges for automated equipment docking. Traditional navigation methods are also

limited, increasing operational complexity.

2. The warehouse's limited space and the need to preserve foodstuffs at low temperatures have led to a strict division of space, which affects the layout and limits the operating range and flexibility of automation equipment.

3. The high demand for cold storage logistics requires large models of automation equipment, but space constraints exacerbate the tension, and the fast pace of tasks requires high-performance equipment.

Project Highlights

    To solve these problems, the AiTEN AE1516 unmanned forklift robot was chosen for this project and optimised in various ways for the project implementation:

Multi-machine Collaborative Operation

1. High precision and efficiency for complex environments

The AE1516 unmanned forklift robot pinpoints pickup points to ensure accurate delivery of goods and maintains efficient operation even in tight environments where limit blocks are difficult to remove, accuracy is required, and pickups are rotated among four trucks to meet the demands of fast-paced production.

2. Smooth loading and unloading even in tight spaces

In the limited space of the warehouse, we optimise the path of the AE1516, so that the AE1516 unmanned forklift can operate flexibly in the narrow space and pick up and drop off goods smoothly. We also enhance SLAM technology to ensure clear routing of goods and error-free scanning.

3. Intelligent traffic control, realising multi-machine cooperation

AE15+ robots need to work simultaneously to ensure a smooth production process. The introduction of the AiTEN scheduling system enables collaborative work between multiple machines. These robots are able to intelligently adjust their course of action based on factors such as task priority and path congestion, ensuring maximum operational efficiency throughout the warehouse.

4. Taskless charging to reduce energy costs

We add taskless charging to intelligent handling robots so that when the robot completes a task, it automatically travels to the charging area to recharge if no new tasks are assigned for the time being. Ensure readiness and reduce energy costs.
